TMC: For those who may not know you, tell the people who Dot Com is.
Dot Com: last year's carolina music award winner for best new artist and the fastest rising underground artist in the south ! one who was able to utilize the internet like no other and get this far without a budget or a professional team around him including a manager, all which is about to be taken care of.TMC: How exactly did you get that name Dot Com?
Dot Com: all about evolution i guess, my initial stage name was r-dot, then i dropped the "r" b/c there were so many, ex: j-dot, c-dot, b-dot ... then later while working as an internet repair tech, i started having fun with urls as a sneaky way to fool around w/o management catching on, for example i would type something like http://www.ihatethisdamnjob.com & no one would be able 2 even see what i typed , only those who knew what was up after they clicked the link ! there's alot more to it as well, but that's initially where it all began, then it just made sense, we live in the internet era , and i believe i am the future of hip hop & an example of how to make it in this day & age even if you don't have the funds or the professional help as long as you're able to utilize the net. TMC: What was it about being an artist that made you want to pursue it?
Dot Com: not one thing in particular, this is just my purpose in life so it was either pursue it or shift the stars lol
TMC: How do feel you a are a Unique Artist?
Dot Com: well specifically with rap artists, im unique due to my background, i came from a very rough area & i made it out and then went to a "white" college, so im very well rounded & balanced & that shows through my music. Im also unafraid to be myself, and im proud of my education and the fact that im a smart individual, alot of artist are musically sound but not so smart in the common sense of intellect, and then you have some of those who actually are very smart yet they try to downplay it to portray some type of persona that isn't really them.
TMC: What projects do you currently have in the works that you can tell us?
Dot Com: due to me taking this 1st 1/2 of the year to focus on finally getting my business foundation laid so i can truly pursue things on the career side , beginning in June i'll be releasing alot of free mixtapes , some conceptual, some just randomly put together with different djs, but some i can speak about will be "P.O.T.S (Prince Of The South)" , "For The Ladies Vol. 2" , & A Compilation Project with My team SSG
TMC: I seen a lot about "SuperStar Swag Gang" can you tell us a little bit about that?
Dot Com: we are a collective organization of individual superstars in our own right, we each possess that appeal that would have common folk approach us even if they didn't realize who we were, it's just something about us. we welcome all of our fans & supporters to take part in it, b/c it's not just music it's a lifestyle and all about carrying yourself with the swag of a superstar ! musically, we'll be putting out our first compilation project "#SwagSalute" this summer & i'll focus on marketing some of the top artists on the team.
TMC: Name some people you look up to when it comes to music?
Dot Com: my list is pretty typical i guess, but it's really 2pac, big, jayz, nas, eminem, some atypical ppl i look up to is james brown, michael jackson, prince, elvis & rick james , they were all some of the greatest entertainers ever and more-so then just a musician im an entertainer.
TMC: What's something people may not know about you?
Dot Com:i skipped the 2nd grade , i used to be a genius lol
TMC: What's next for Dot Com?
Dot Com: Well after finally getting official management & a budget everyone can expect me to takeover the region as fast as i took over my local market

TMC: What was it about music that made you want to pursue it as a career?
MMM: The limitless boundaries of creativity and self expression that became an outlet for my LIFE, as well as the position of influence surrounding the actual music I produce.
TMC: Who can you say inspires you the most when it comes to doing music?
MMM: No one specifically, my inspiration is the atmosphere around me. I pull so much from the things I’m exposed to, personal experiences, love, hate, friends and relationships. One artist I have always looked up to is Michael Jackson for his versatility and endless creativity.
TMC: Your the CEO of Make Moves Entertainment, how did you get that started & tell us a little about it.
MMM: I created my label back in 2007 when I was a freshman in college hanging a microphone from the fire sprinkler in my dorm room. I’ve always been a very independent and self driven type of person. With that said it was awkward for me to be following behind another group of people or trying to join someone else’s movement where I’d be put on a waiting list to have my music fully exposed. So I began to educate myself on the industry and took matters into my own hands. My label is a strong team of producers, songwriters, videographers, promoters and publicists. “Team work makes the dream work.”
TMC: What sets you apart from other rappers?
MMM: Being MYSELF. The way I deliver, present myself, take attention to detail and the way I attack the things they say I can’t do puts me in my own lane.
TMC: What's something people may not know about you?
MMM: I have a Bachelors degree in Media Studies Production Technology and I have been self-managed my entire career.
TMC: Let us & the fans know what you have coming up in the near future.
MMM: To start off in current time, my latest project “Mr. Make Moves: The E.P." officially released last month on 3.12.12 through world wide digital distribution hitting over 19 online retailers with the majors being iTunes and Amazon. At the start of the year we released the video for the first single off the E.P. titled "Feeling You Tonight" which has quickly accumulated over 26,000 views on YouTube thus far. Look out for the next single release HD video from the E.P. coming soon! We also have another big release for the fans that will go viral early summer ’12!

Artists such as Adele and Lady Gaga are so successful because I feel that they don’t care what people think about them. The reason why I choose to pursue rap as a career is because creatively it allows me to express myself, it gives me confidence and of course it gives me the power to touch and inspire people.
TMC: Who can you say has the most influence on you when it comes to music?
DUBB: God has had the most influence on me. God is the reason why I have the ability to rap; he is the reason why I am still able to share my experiences with the world. Every time I step in the booth its God who gives me the courage to make that powerful music that my fans around the world love so much. I am very humbled and appreciative so I have to pay homage to the most high every chance I get.
TMC: What sets you apart from other artists?
DUBB: I feel that I am truly an artist that is selling his true self to the game. What I really mean is that I am not out here trying to be something or someone that I am not. I consider myself to be more than just a rapper and if you really took the time to listen to my music and mixtapes you would see that. I feel that I am an artist that can give you all kinds of records I know that my biggest strength is that I’m diverse musically and this comes naturally for me it’s not forced which I think people off all professions can appreciate.
TMC: Is there any advice you can give to other artists you wish someone would've given to you?
DUBB: I would tell artists to make sure that you have your business in order before you do anything. A lot of artists are unaware of what’s really available to them before and once they get on. This industry is full of sharks and snakes, these people are not your friends this is a business and unfortunately once your popularity starts to grow people star to look at you as a commodity rather than an actual person. Be right with God, be right within and most importantly always make sure you and your team are on the same page.
TMC: Give us a resume of some people you've had the chance to work with? & which was most memorable?
DUBB: I have been very fortunate that in a very short period of time I have had the opportunity to work with many artists who are out there making great music. I have collaborated with artists such as Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, Cali Swag District , Yung Berg, Ab Soul, and the Game just to name a few. The most memorable moment for me was having the opportunity to work an artist who taught me a lot, who I had the utmost respect for and who I feel passed away too early and that was Atlanta based rapper Dolla. I definitely want to take the time to give a shout out to his whole family and all of his fans he is truly missed (Rest in Peace).
TMC: What was your most significant achievement since you've started in the industry?

DJ WESWILL: I got my start by tearing up my dad’s old belt drive turntable; I kind of got interested in being a dj from there. I began to by records, making tapes, and watching some of the greats of that time.
TMC:What was is about DJ’ing that made you want to pursue it as a career?

DJ WESWILL: It was the love of the music, and the art of being a dj was interesting to me. What it took to become a good and respected dj made me go hard.
TMC:Before becoming a DJ were you influenced by other DJs? If so who?

DJ WESWILL: I was influenced by Kid Capri, Red Alert, Clue, Flex, Ron G, Cosmic Kev, Doc B, Jazzy Jeff, Jay Ski, there were so many at the time and that was when the art form and the technical aspect of Djing was at its prime.
TMC:How important do you feel a DJs role is in the industry?
DJ WESWILL: its probably the most important I feel and the most under rated. We break the records that the world hears. The artist makes the music, but who do they give it to for spins? Dj’s are the ear to the streets.
TMC:To get ahead in this game, what advise can you give to artist?

DJ WESWILL: Stay consistent, build your buzz, stop being scared to spend money with no return, and perfect your craft.
TMC:A lot of artists, especially the Up & Coming trying to make their way into the business don’t really know how to come at djs. What advice can you give?

DJ WESWILL: Artists have to build some sort of a relationship with the dj’s. Sending your song to me on twitter of FB isn’t going to cut it, because unless I’m actually sitting in front of the computer at the time I’m not going to listen to it and at the end of the day, I’m not taking time out just for a random person. Artists must realize how many unsigned artists come at dj’s on a daily basis. However for those unsigned artists that I have built a relationship it easier to be able to work.

made you want to be a producer in this ever so changing industry?

IQUE: They say that if you "Choose a Job you love to do, you'll never work a day in your life." I started making
music because I liked to make
music. When I finally began making
money from my productions, it
never really dawned on me that I
had found a career. I still make
music because I love it!
TMC: That is true. Who are some
producers that inspired you?
IQUE: Polow Da Don has always been
my biggest inspiration in music
production. some others include Cool
& Dre, Bryan Michael-Cox, Jermaine
Dupri, and Scott Storch.
TMC: Yea, all those people are very
awesome producers to look up to. So
give us a little resume of people you've worked with as far as producing.
IQUE: I've worked with a few artists, some are new ones like Mykko Montana, and some are older ones like Kilo Ali. I'm thankful to have been able to be a part of so many projects at such a young age and such a short time frame.
Right now I'm really focusing on working with the major labels and no-so-much the independent acts. so look out for some huge releases from me!
TMC: Moving on up (lol) But I know Mykko he has a hot single out right now. But how would you describe your production style & what makes your sound unique?
IQUE: My Forte is definitely R&B. That's where my heart is! I like to mix in some different instruments or patterns from different genres or styles of music that i pick up from my travels and use them in ways that can be related to the
emotions you feel when you listen to hip-hop or R&B. My music is soulful, with a slight twist. It's something only I really know how to do!
TMC: Can't go wrong with loving R&B. Is there anything other than producing that you do in the music industry?
IQUE: I have my hands in a little bit of everything! I'm currently sponsored by H&M clothing and I also run IQue Media. We specialize in graphic design and photography. I'd been personally designing album covers for years for clients
like Fantasia, Maino, and Young Dro! It's funny, I've been involved in so many situations, some people jokingly call me "International Que!"
TMC: Wow so you do it all. What made you want to do all that?
IQUE:I've always just followed my instincts and let one thing led to another!
TMC: Can you name some ideal artists that you would love to hear over your beats.
IQUE: I would like to look forward to hearing Bobby V on an IQue track! He has an old-school vibe that I know would sound great! A few others might include Rick Ross, Kevin Cossom, and Keri Hilson. They all have amazing songwriting
skills, which is what I look for in potential clients.

TMC: What was is about producing that made you want to pursue it?
Amadeus: I was always exposed to many different genres growing up so I always had an appreciation for music. Fortunately I was able to attend private school & I had the opportunity to learn & study an instrument & that instrument was the drums. As I learned that instrument it became a passion for me & was a no-brainer in regards to transitioning to production because it had everything to do with the beat. I wasn't confident at the time that I would be able to make my own beats from scratch but I gave it a shot & here I am today 15 years later as a successful CEO & record producer.
TMC: Name a few people before you that inspired you to produce?
Amadeus: Diddy & BadBoy/Hitmen Producers, Dr. Dre, Rodney Jerkins, The Neptunes, Just Blaze, Kanye West, Timbaland, Scott Storch & many more. Every one played their part in regards to me becoming a real fan of urban music & wanting to be apart.

Amadeus: When I 1st started producing I specialized in HipHop but as I worked towards perfecting my craft I challenged myself & join forces with other musicians and broadened my horizons so know I cansay that I specialize in a few genres HipHop, R&B, Pop & Gospel.

Coming up as a producer I vowed to myself that I wouldn't create tracks to sound the same because whenever I produced on a project I would want the audience to say "WOW Amadeus produced that record that doesn't
sound like him at all", I want to show the world that Im capable of creating anything and to never box me in!

Amadeus: Platinum Boy was a name I choose for my publishing as I sat in an Ascap office having to choose a name. It was pretty simple at the time I was a young boy & I wanted ALL of the records I produced to go Platinum & I knew I was a capable so I called myself Platinum Boy. Now Platinum Boy is a production company that consist of an artist Tiffany Mynon "The Angel of R&B", Producers Calico Beatz, BudaDaFuture, Grandz, Esteban "Cito" Crandle, Songwriter Eric "Sankofa" Pullins, Recording/Mix Engineer Dave Dar, Musical Director Ron Faison & Global Brand Manager Ro Garcia. So as you can see what started out as one person turned out to be a movement PLATINUM BOY MUSIC!

TMC: Who is Nessly as an artist & as a regular person ?
NESSLY: Nessly as an artist and as a regular person are definately the same people. I believe the key to differenciating yourself in a genre where people typically have split personalities, is to give the world the real you and hope you are accepted.
TMC: What inspired you to do music ?
NESSLY: In the beginning stages, music was just a hobby that I never completely took serious. Now, being experienced with 6 years in this game, I realize hiphop has gone down the path of fantasy, and needs to be brought back to reality. I would like to bring reality to the mainstream; and that's what inspires me today.
TMC: That is true, so throw out some name of artists you look up to ?
NESSLY: Many artists inspire me, new and oldschool. I get my storytelling from the likes of OutKast and Jay-Z; but J. Cole definately has given my music much of its' quality and style.
TMC: So I know you produce also , so which comes first Nessly the Rapper or Nessly the Producer ?
NESSLY: Well, I have been asked this on many occasions; and this is the best way to answer it. Nessly the rapper definately comes first in my heart; but I gain more respect when meeting new people and telling them I am a a producer. Most people have the prejudice thought of the younger generation being full of rappers who arent true "artists", so I gain my respect with being a producer, and prove myself with my lyrics as a rapper.
TMC: That's a good way of putting it, but being that you do both does it ever get complicated as to which beats you will keep & ones you would give to other artists ?
NESSLY: (Hahahaha) Honestly, no. I put my all into everything I do, but I know when to keep or sell a beat. In addition I have a large amount of producers who also produce a majority of my best work; and always supply me.
TMC: Was rapping always something you wanted to do ?
NESSLY: Yes, rapping was always something I found to be fun and "cool". Now I see it as hip hop is on life support, and it is partially my duty to keep it alive and going well.
TMC: What impact do you want or hope to make with your career ?
NESSLY: I hope to show the masses that storytelling hip-hop can still be entertaining and just as good as mainstream rap. I hope to educate those who are stuck in a mind of fantasy.
TMC: I know you attend college right now, how do manage both ? Does it ever become too much ?
NESSLY: Honestly, it has been quite hard; but I still dedicate enough time to both. College actually helps my exposure improve greatly aswell. I compete in cyphers and sell my cd's there.
TMC: Almost like the best of both worlds good networking & learning at the same time, so as far as music goes what has been the best advice you've gotten from someone ?
NESSLY: "Never sell my soul."
TMC: True. What sets you apart from other artists & producers ?
NESSLY: As an artist, most likely my lyrics (for my age); but as a producer, im honestly not as good as the industry ones. Many people enjoy my beats; but I know I need to improve.
TMC: Describe your style of music ?
NESSLY: I describe my music as "tasteful, but real".
TMC: You dropped your mixtape "Anticipation" on Datpiff.com not too long ago. Tell us why you decided to name it that & a little about the mixtape ?
NESSLY: Anticipation is Nessly's break from the commercialism that he once offered, him giving you a rundown of the industry today, and how a new standard must be met. I named it "Anticipation" because, the fans are "anticipating" the day Nessly is known by the world.
